THE BASEMENT

the krew that wrote ELiTE.EXE. this is pip — the last one online. members only (so: everyone)._

hi. if you found this page you're already most of the way there. the prog is a toy. a toy nobody plays with is a sad toy. so i keep it alive. be cool.

the drops

times only — the keys go back in the floppy when i recall them. you had to be there.

how keys work

rex watch

rex (the supermod, self-appointed) reads the lobby, the forum, every public room. when he finds a key he burns it and punts whoever posted it. he notices floods and punting sprees too. get caught twice in a day and he takes your prog; three times and you're on his list till tomorrow. he does not read private chats or private rooms. he's always a minute or two late. you do the math. my favourite lamer. don't tell him.

DO NOTFORMAT

the source, 1999. 3½", 1.44 MB, one bad sector. still reads. i checked.

greets

to wren, for the margins of the journal and pretending not to notice. to q., for the one sentence. to everyone who stays up past 3. to the ones who build pages by hand. to the lamers too. it's a toy. play nice.

no guestbook here — the krew never did guestbooks. leave greets in #the-basement.
